<image:title>AnL7 - ART THERAPY</image:title>
<image:caption>Art Therapy is another part of our afterschool programming. The art therapists on site work with students on a weekly basis individually and in groups. Art Therapy offers a space to work on art projects that help strengthen creativity, self-esteem, and provide a time to discuss personal triumphs and trials. Art Therapy services can be requested at any point throughout the year. We aim to support families in a holistic way and are able to provide referrals for other resources within and outside of the Coalition. If you have any questions about Art Therapy, come and speak with us during dismissal, or email Julia the on-site Art Therapist at jzell@hispanicfamilyservicesny.org.</image:caption>

      <image:title>AnL7 - Art Therapy Parent Group</image:title>
<image:caption>The P.S. 7 Art Therapy Parent Group will be starting this December. The Art Therapy staff will provide art materials and hold space for parents on Zoom to create art, engage in self-care, process their experiences and emotions, as well as connect with one another. We know that parenting comes with its fair share of challenges and stresses, (this year in particular!) and we hope to provide you all with a supportive space in which you can speak about your experiences openly as well as take some much-needed time to care for yourselves and explore your creativity.</image:caption>

She came on board with ps.377 Arts & Literacy back in February 2020, and teaches all ages and styles of dance like Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Hip-Hop. <image:caption>As a teaching artist, Amberrose is capable of bringing energy and knowledge to the children who attend the after school program at P.S. 377. She is a recent graduate of Pratt Institute, pursued a BFA in Painting and studied Art History and Museum and Gallery Practices as her minors; she also has taken several classes pertaining to art education. Amberrose firmly believes in making art accessible to all children despite their socioeconomic standing; given the proper tools any child can become an artist. Amberrose ensures that the classroom is a safe learning environment and there is open communication between all students from a variety of backgrounds. She makes certain that each student feels comfortable enough to share their thoughts during the sessions by asking questions and sharing scenarios rather than providing students with facts alone. She also acknowledged that some students need a little more help than others and it is her duty to work one-on-one with the students in order for them to fully grasp the material at hand.</image:caption>

<image:caption>FAMILY ART NIGHTS occur at the end of reach semester rotation. The event allows students to showcase the projects that they have been working towards during after-school sessions. The showcase is split into two categories: Visual Arts and Performances. Our Visual Arts portion is set up much like a museum exhibit where student artwork is hung on the wall for all visitors to see. Our Performance portions gather everyone into the auditorium where they will enjoy student performances from our music, dance, and theater classes.</image:caption>
